Located on the 8th floor of Hôtel Place d’Armes, the terrace is surrounded by architecture with a strong European character. The concept of “a European pause” was directly inspired by this environment. At the time, renovations were being considered: the branding needed to work seamlessly with the existing space while anticipating a possible future redesign (ultimately not carried out). I also contributed to the moodboard development for the terrace concept, ensuring that the brand identity and the spatial vision were aligned from the start. The identity had to be conceived in just two days, within a very tight deadline.
I created a refined visual identity inspired by the terrace’s European character. Elegant typefaces and a warm color palette, echoing the sunsets visible from the rooftop, were applied across menus, signage, packaging, and event materials. The result is a cohesive and adaptable system that elevates the guest experience and positions Terrasse Place d’Armes as a must-visit rooftop in Old Montreal.
